We would have loved to welcome you to our school in person but holding our usual Open Evening in Autumn 2020 was not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions. As such, we put together this virtual open evening.

Our investment in your son’s success
We have embarked on a significant building programme, and your son will benefit from the facilities in our new £3.5m Innovation Hub which is scheduled to open in Autumn 2021. This building will provide modern learning facilities to equip students with the skills and knowledge to make a positive contribution to both the local, national and global economy.

We have recently completed a £500,000 update on our extremely popular Design and Technology workrooms and studio. This update included the creation of a dedicated design studio for our A-level Product Design students, providing them with an extensive range of equipment and software to enable the boys to develop design and engineering skills in a range of materials.
In Autumn 2020 we opened two new science laboratories to supplement the existing 9 laboratories and 2 prep rooms to cater for the popularity of Sciences at JHGS, particularly at A-level. This is just part of our ongoing improvements to enhance the school’s teaching and learning facilities.
